Repair Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before submitting your device for repair.
Diagnostic Process
All repairs begin with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment:
- Diagnostic fee is charged regardless of whether you proceed with the repair
- Diagnostics typically take 1-3 business days depending on urgency level selected
- You will receive a detailed report with findings and repair quotation
- You must approve the quotation before repair work begins
- Diagnostic fee is applied toward the total repair cost if you proceed
Repair Quotations
After diagnostics, we provide a comprehensive quotation including:
- Diagnostic fee (already charged)
- Repair labor costs
- Replacement parts if required
- Urgency surcharge (if expedited or critical service selected)
- Previous repair attempt fee (if applicable)
- Optional warranty package cost
- Delivery/shipping fees
You have 7 days to accept or decline the quotation. After 7 days, your device will be returned at your expense.
Repair Process & Timeline
Once you approve the quotation:
- Standard Urgency: 5-10 business days for most repairs
- Expedited: 2-4 business days (+$20 fee)
- Critical: 24-48 hours priority service (+$50 fee)
- You will receive status updates via your preferred notification method (email or WhatsApp)
- Timeline excludes time waiting for special order parts
Data Backup & Privacy
IMPORTANT: GPU Doctor is not responsible for any data loss during repair.
- Always backup your data before sending your device for repair
- We may need to reset, reflash, or test your device which could result in data loss
- Remove all personal files, passwords, and sensitive information
- We do not access or copy your data, but we cannot guarantee data preservation
- For laptops and storage devices, ensure critical data is backed up elsewhere
Liability Limitations
By submitting your device for repair, you agree that:
- GPU Doctor is not liable for data loss or software issues resulting from repair
- Some repairs may not be successful; we will inform you if repair is not possible
- In rare cases, attempting a repair may cause additional damage; we will notify you immediately
- Maximum liability is limited to the repair fee paid
- We are not responsible for compatibility issues with your system after repair
- Cosmetic wear from normal repair procedures (thermal paste residue, minor scratches from disassembly) is expected
Parts & Materials
Regarding replacement parts and materials:
- We use high-quality aftermarket or OEM parts as available
- Thermal compounds, pads, and paste are premium grade (Arctic MX-5, Gelid, Thermal Grizzly)
- Replaced defective parts become property of GPU Doctor unless specifically requested
- Special order parts may have longer lead times (5-15 business days)
- Part costs are included in your quotation and will not change without your approval
Payment Terms
Payment is required as follows:
- Diagnostic fee is charged upfront when submitting a repair request
- Full payment is due before device is shipped/released for pickup
- We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers
- Payment must be received within 3 days of repair completion
- Devices not paid for within 14 days may be sold to recover costs
Abandoned Devices
Devices are considered abandoned if:
- No response to quotation within 7 days
- Payment not received within 14 days of repair completion
- No response to pickup/delivery arrangements within 30 days
Abandoned devices may be sold or disposed of to recover diagnostic, storage, and administrative costs. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking this action.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a repair request through our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Repair Terms & Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Warranty Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy.
